Honors |Two lawyers from Tianjin Bozhuan Law Firm were elected as arbitrators of Tianjin Arbitration Commission and received arbitrator training from Tianjin Arbitration Commission

After deliberation and decision at the meeting of the Tianjin Arbitration Commission, the appointment period of the new arbitrators will be from December 29, 2023 to December 28, 2026. Song Lihua, director of Tianjin Bozhuan Law Firm, and Wang Jingzhan, founding partner, were elected as the new arbitrators of Tianjin Arbitration Commission.

Mr. Song's areas of expertise include: construction engineering, real estate, contracts, etc.

Mr. Wang's areas of expertise include: international trade and maritime affairs, construction projects, intellectual property, etc.
Tianjin Arbitration Commission is an institution established on September 28, 1995 in accordance with the Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China to arbitrate economic disputes. The Arbitration Commission is composed of experts and celebrities in the fields of law, economics and trade. Based on the arbitration agreement concluded between the parties and the written arbitration application of one party, the Tianjin Arbitration Commission arbitrates disputes arising in the fields of economy, technology, real estate transactions, intellectual property rights, product quality liability, construction projects, transportation, finance, insurance, futures, securities, foreign-related economic and trade, transportation and maritime affairs. The arbitration fully embodies the autonomy of the parties, and the parties may select arbitrators from the panel of arbitrators or entrust the chairman of the arbitration commission to appoint arbitrators to form an arbitral tribunal to hear and adjudicate cases. The arbitral tribunal shall resolve economic disputes fairly and reasonably and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the parties based on the facts, in accordance with the provisions of the law and with reference to international practices. The arbitration shall be final. The arbitration procedure is simple and the arbitral award has legal effect.

On March 29, 2024, our lawyer Song Lihua and lawyer Wang Jingzhan attended a two-day training course for newly appointed arbitrators. Yang Tao, vice president of Tianjin Lawyers Association and member of the Arbitrator Professional Ethics Committee of Tianjin Arbitration Commission, Chen Yaodong, professor of Nankai University Law School and doctoral supervisor of civil and commercial law, and other relevant professionals respectively gave training speeches on topics such as "Professional Training of Professional Ethics for Arbitrators" and "Legal Thinking and Application of Law in the Trial of Arbitration Cases". In this training activity, the expert lectures were wonderful, the course content was rich, and the lawyers who participated in the training felt that they benefited a lot, and this training was of great significance to improve the professional level of arbitrators and improve their ability to handle cases. We are honored to have two lawyers become the new arbitrators of Tianjin Arbitration Commission, contributing to Tianjin's economic development and the progress of Tianjin's rule of law.
